Mountain out of a mole

So this is my first blog!! of many of my erraticly changing hobbies blogging is one of them but i hope to make it stay for a longer duration.well from the title you must've come to know that i am going to talk abt my exaggerations for some frivolous topic.
But frivolous as it may seem, getting urself a laptop, especially when you dont even know what ram memory,hard disk memory,graphic card,diff between intel core 2 duo T6600 and P8-7000is what exactly you require, can be a herculean task.
Ya i know i was really dumb in the tech-savvy world and ironically i am persuing IT(B.E 2nd yr) so starting from the scratch was getting on my nerves.
I started my hunt for the best laptop in july 2009. first i googled laptops in india and i got a never ending lists of various brands-hp,dell,acer,toshiba,olive etc. etc.so what was a novice supposed to do now.nyways after much toiling and surfing i got down to hp and dell.now came the task of finding the right model with dell showing off inspirons,studios,xps,netbooks and hp giving a tough fight with pavillions,hybrids with compaqs..phew!! slowly with a gaint effort from my side and thanks to this"world wide web" i became acquainted to some terms like-what ram and hard disk memory,processor,what kinda sub-woofers,graphic cards i needed.i jotted down to hp dv6-1200 and dell studio 1555.As nowadays dell is seen as the don of laptop world,i took an instant dislike towards it(sometimes i do behave crazy) and decided hp at once.my friends said dell gives door to door service,gives betr configuration in cheaper rates,hp has heating probs but adamant as i was i stuck to hp.
By this time my college had reopened and i hadnt got a lappi for myself still. anyways days passed into weeks,weeks into months.winter holz have come. now my father completely furious on my decision making abilities was all set to buy hp,when my friend calls me up and says hp drivers give u a real big problem when u want to install another OS.now as im in IT working on different os is required of me, so as u can see that was the last straw that broke the camel's back. so began my another search.....and now finally i have Dell inspiron 1545.. well u can easily see that such are life ironies...hope you didnt get too bored..aftr all its my 1st blog..thanx do leave ur comments
